Belal Al-Hafnawi is currently A Commissioner – Member of the Board at Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRC) of Jordan since Dec 2019. He worked for the last (20) years in various leadership, management and strategy roles in the telecommunications and information technology sector in middle east and Gulf region

Eng. Al-Hafnawi has worked with several international mobile network vendors (Huawei, Motorola, Nokia and Samsung Electronics), and also recently worked as a program manager of the broadband solutions at Saudi Telecom Company.

Eng. Al-Hafnawi has wide work experience in various telecommunications fields, which included management, technical and consulting experiences in managing large projects, including planning, design, implementation, operation and maintenance, optimization and performance of cellular networks.

Eng. Al-Hafnawi has joined an executive program in Management and Leadership of technology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology/United States in 2018; related to strategy and business implications of Internet of Things (IOT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital transformation and platform strategies. In addition to understanding and solving complex business problems, strategic cost analysis for managers, with target to know the implications of digital technologies on business strategies, and opportunities building.

Eng. Al-Hafnawi holds a Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Jordan.

Eng. Al-Hafnawi is very dedicated to giving back to his community and supports several local and international activities and organizations in technology strategy and digital transformation, he is technology articles writer, author and international speaker in various topics related to technology.
